Hi, I'm Minna Mazzone ( b.1974 in Finland ), a London-based contemporary artist. Characteristic to my work are bold, strong colours and expressive brushstrokes. I come from an artistic family and have had a passion for painting since early childhood. Although I do not have a formal art degree ( I have an MA in anthropology...) I have benefited from evening classes and workshops by many wonderful artists and teachers over the years, both in Finland and the UK. I paint mainly with acrylics and watercolours. While my acrylic paintings are mostly abstract, my watercolours often have a floral or botanical theme. I experiment with different painting styles ranging from abstract expressionism to abstract formalism, sometimes including figurative and mixed media elements in my work.
